One of the first modular pieces made by Kim has been selected to hang at the Royal Academy's Summer Show. The work consists of an image etched onto aluminium plate, the plate has been fragmented and bonded onto painted metal blocks, the blocks have then been fixed onto an aluminium backing plate. The image is from the reed beds at the RSPB reserve Minsmere in Suffolk close to where Kim lives. " I wanted to convey something of the atmosphere of Minsmere by combining representational imagery with more conceptual interpretations of the colour and light of that particular environment"
